Ebay Business

It seems that there has been alot of buzz lately about starting an ebay business. I am a little concerned that the ship has already sailed on that market. The low initial startup costs are appealing. Can anyone here on their forum share any advice on things I need to consider before I start my ebay business?

The market is pretty saturated. The best advice I can give is to sell something you know and are passionate about. Best of luck to you in your new venture.

Starting an ebay business is a really good way to get started in e-commerce. Bizdevguy is right that the market is a bit saturated, however, if you put a lot of effort into finding a unique product or line of products that you can offer on ebay for a compelling price, you should have no trouble selling.

Before you start with an ebay business, remember 3 things:
1) A distinct product that isn't over-saturated on the site is important
2) No reserve auctions almost always command higher bids
3) The more pictures of your items, the better. Buyers love pictures

Good luck!
