I just want to comment that post then that response. A year ago the first response would def have been check out monster.com or post a resume on craigslist or something of that nature. I think it is amazing the number of college grads that are working for free in internships or starting their own venture out of necessity rather than the entrepreneural spirit. I believe that this is going to result in your generation being labeled generation entrepreneur when history looks back at this. Good luck on your job search, but I have friends with college educations and a decde of experience looking for extended time too. You very well may be an entrepreneur of necessity as well.

It is really sad. Many people that I have as email buddies are leading developers, some of which recently got layed off from Microsoft. The Developer world is so competative and companies do not pay them for what they are worth. Much like Pilots. They put years in training , certifications, degrees and keeping up with current technoligies that overall they get the short end of the stick and usually have to settle with freelancing to some degree.

The best advice I can give to People such as Veerudu is to develope your own company, while looking for fool time employment. What works best for a web developer, which ones make it are those that ally themselves with other companies, such as web hosting, while also venturing in the affiliate marketing and ecommerce solutions for added income.

Veerudu, there are ways around that. First file the appropriate paperwork for starting your new company in your home country showing the world proof of the location of the company. Set up at least 2 websites. If you are from India get a .mysite.in, then get a .com You can do this anywhere, there are no restrictions. Google has .in, .ca etc..
Take payments through paypal. You also can have your business mail forwarded to your current location. Visa cannot stop you from starting an internet business when all the work is data.

Are you interested in doing marketing? We are an IT company with 9 years of experience in web development. If you are interested in representing our company in the US, please let me know.
