My husband and I started a business last year and need help. I think we need a partner to come in and handle the business side.

How can we find a partner after the fact? My husband is a great teacher but not a natural business man. We need help with organizing finances and marketing first of all. How do we find someone who has the money and the interest? We feel very lost and alone.

I cannot help you with financing your business, however, I can help you with managing the finances of your business. I am an accountant. I am interested in talking with you about how I can help your business with regard to managing your finances (basically, the "running" of your business).

Give me a call, my partner is great with numbers and I'm great with advertising, would love to help. Sometimes, we just need the tools.

Patricia,

SCORE can also help with helping you organize and develop a plan of action. SCORE has local chapters where a counselor can sit down with you for free. Find that chapter at www.score.org and use the Find SCORE option. Then fill out their request for counseling form.

To be clear, Jay and Kenneth are offering you professional services to help; SCORE counselors will help you develop a plan of action that you will need to follow through on yourselves. So depending on your needs contact SCORE if you feel it can assist you.

Please let me know if there is more I can do.
Alice, SCORE Pittsburgh
