Seeking advice for a book/internet concept

Hi. Thanks for taking a moment... I am currently working on writing a book (self-help genre) and I believe that adding a web element to the project would help quite a bit, but I don't really know where to begin on that side of things. The project as a whole is still in its infancy and is still quite adaptable. I guess what I am seeking is a little bit of everything, from advice on writing/editing to financing to getting the book on the market to potential intellectual property issues.
