Are you a local business with a Facebook page that is a profile page and not a business "like" page? Its important to make that switch

Almost every time I speak with a local business owner we have the discussion about a Facebook "profile" for their business and a business "page" for their business. It’s a very common problem that many local businesses who have who joined the site early and thought the right thing to do was promote their business via their own personal profiles. The question is always the same, Whats the difference?

So Brad, what's your advice to small business owners? How do they choose the right one? What are the basics of setting up a business page (as opposed to a personal page)?

Hilary, my advice would be to setup your Facebook "like" as soon possible. The tools i provided will help you make that transition and migrate over to your facebook like page. There is also alot more available for a business when you setup a like page. I provided some tips and tricks and hope they are helpful. If you need some additional help please let me know. Thanks

Hello Brad,

These are great resources. Our company recently launched a Facebook Page, and we are still in the process of establishing our presence on various social media platforms. I'm curious about your thoughts on creating a custom tab or landing page for Facebook Pages. I have read articles with varying perspectives on the issue. Do you have any recommendations for how to move forward with a custom tab?
