I am not in the legal industry myself, but am in the process of planning a startup and looking for a couple partners, one definitely having to possess great legal (IP) knowledge. The person has to be have an in-depth knowledge of the entire patent cycle from protecting pre-patent intellectual property displayed publicly to patent licensing, and the future effects the USPTO's reform might have. The person will definitely have to think creatively, and have, at least, an average knowledge of technology. If you are looking for a challenge, this is definitely it (It's already stumped a couple patent attorneys). This is not just a request to patent one idea. This will affect a conglomeration of different ideas from different sources.
If you might be interested, let me know. I don't know how well the default confidentially agreement when talking with a patent attorney will cover a business proposition rather than an invention, so you'll have to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
