Business Intelligence Software

I'm looking for a couple of people to share the cost of purchasing a business intelligence (BI) software suite. Such applications allow one to datamine and conduct analytics on large amounts of information. I’m looking to use such software to exploit hidden trends in real estate multiple listing service (MLS) data and provide that information to other Realtors.

The software I’m looking to use is Tableau Server (http://www.tableausoftware.com/products/server). It costs about $12,000 for the software and between $150 to $300 per month for a server.

I’m looking to find a few people interested in sharing the cost either for the endeavor mentioned or you can use the software for analytics on whatever business opportunities you are pursuing. It’s just a large chunk of change for me to foot upfront, especially when there are other entrepreneurs who can benefit from the software as well.

Let me know if you are interested or have any questions.

I don't know what your requirements are. So, this may not have the 'must have' requirements to make your project successful.

However, considering this open source software is free, you may want to check this out and see whether this will meet your need. And you have a choice of 3 reporting engines!

Thank you for the comments. I've looked into those packages and Tableau is the only BI software with native geographic mapping capable of plotting over 10,000 data points.
