How to use of facebook ?

Today Facebook is one of the most popular networks. It allows you to present your business to many others, using different tools, most important of which is to build relationship and trust with many people who could buy from you.

What are your suggestion to use this social networking site?

Hello Hannah,

Facebook definitely is one of the most popular social networking sites out there. There are a lot of resources out there for how to best use Facebook for your business. We're just starting to utilize our Facebook Page to connect to customers and draw more traffic to our website and blog. We post links to specific blog posts, share photos, and links to resources or information our customers may find useful. There are also ways to create custom tabs to offer exclusive content to your fan base. Here is a great article by John Jantsch, author of Duct Tape Marketing, on several social media tools to consider for your business, including Facebook: Here's the article

We really like Facebook for businesses that have a strong visual element, such a contractors, artists and restaurants. Many of the changes Facebook makes aim to display images in a bigger, bolder format. If you have fantastic products-in-use images, or before and after photos that tell a great story, Facebook is the place to display them. Just be sure you create a BUSINESS page, not a personal page.

Take note of the comments, though.

All the articles and blog posts on how to "win" on Facebook are great for an overview and do help you to understand the basics, but they are generalities at best. Experience is your best instructor, and one truth trumps everything: be engaging and offer your followers relevant content. You won't know what that is unless you know your followers and your customer base. You hit the nail on the head when you said "....most important of which is to build relationship and trust with many people who could buy from you." So go do that with a compelling story and valuable information that people who follow you can use. Keep in mind that it's about engagement, not about selling - if you remember that you'll build trust faster.

There sure are a lot of ways to optimize businesses using facebook. One is that it could be used for press releases. Most businesses spread some exciting business news via PRs. And Facebook, being an active social media platform, offers them the opportunity to spread these press releases to clients and on a wider range of the public in general.

Another is that Facebook could serve as another product/service catalogue. By either uploading images, wall posts or making use of apps, you get to promote your business’ products and services to your prospects.

Finally, you can also make use of Facebook for your company announcements. You can share any positive company changes or announcements, deals and partnerships or even community events on your facebook page.

These thoughts are more of the marketing capabilities. However, you may still incorporate other ways to build up your business using Facebook.
