How do I get connected?

Are there any women business owners out there that know of great resources for getting started? I'm looking specifically for networking, workshops, etc.

Amy, I'm not trying to ignore you but this is a very broad question. Do you mean networking like joining the chamber and BNI? Or just finding activities you enjoy and becoming part of a community fabric that way? What area of the country are you in?

As for workshops, throw a stone and you'll hit thousands of them. What specific topics are you weakest in -- that's where you need to start to narrow down the possibilities.

First you need a business plan - contact your local SCORES office in your area.

SCORES is America's premier source of free and confidential small business advice for entrepreneurs. SCORE offers advice online and in-person at over 364 offices nationwide. SCORE has helped 8.5 million small businesses.

Good Luck!

You can also just start your own Networking Group in your community. I have seen this work very well in my area. Try WOMTEC and TNG (Tangerine Networking Group).
