I would strongly advise you not to do that. It is a terrible idea for both parties. I did it myself when I was very young with a family member and it ended up terribly. Every single person I know that has done a co-signing deal and that is probably about 20 people has regretted it afterwards, even the ones that got someone to cosign for them. You will be much better off to get an investor who believes in your venture, and most of all in you and get the money that way. - Just my 2 cents

Sharon, Nick is right, but there are other ways available. The sources I use are mostly for real estate investing, but they also can finance a startup as well.
