Should investors be afraid when investing on a start-up project?

very often investors hesitate to invest on a project that they might even find interesting and worth while. When investors let fear take over their decision making there is a big problem. They might find your business plan and idea interesting and worth while, but they always let the "what if" part confuse them. The same thing with young entrepreneurs with a good idea, but are too discouraged to see success. Success always involved dedication from the entire team. You are either on board or not. Even after your business first launches, and you see little to no growth, encouragement and hope should always stay in the conversation between the entire team. What do you guys think?

Investors should be cautions, but quaking-in-their-boots "afraid"? If they're that emotional about it, a safer investment would probably be a better choice. Given the failure rate, investors have to have a fairly high risk tolerance.
