This is it guys. I won't be back.

Have not seen much improvement on this site and I gave you guys a lot of suggestions. The people I mostly see in the forums are the people who work here, you need new blood.

I gave you guys plenty of advice, and the thanks I get in return is an account which does not appear on the "Users Online" list. You blocked me for some unknown reason. And your site still does not let me know when I have received a message here.

These are all easy fixes, but you can't seem to get the simple things accomplished and this is why good people do not return.

I know one of you will delete this message soon, but at least it will be read by you. Hopefully this will inform you of how many of us feel.

Best of Luck.
Edwin

Edwin - we're not going to delete it. We're working hard every day to make PartnerUp a valuable resource for small business owners. We want to hear what you have to say. I'll message you directly to follow up.

I won't go so far as to say the site is useless, but I think the technical problems are killing Partnerup. I have joined half a dozen conversations, but I don't always get notifications that someone has responded. I also think the way threads are displayed is a problem --- it is just not clear what conversations are active versus which ones are dead.

I also find it extremely annoying that I keep getting notifications that people want to "partner" with me, but when I check their profile, they have entered almost NOTHING except their name and a few other fields. That is just not going to work.

While the site is nice, and I get tons of hits, I also get no responses as far as when I start a post on something. Although I can say I haven't had the scammers here...which is a relief in itself....., I can't seem to get anywhere here either.

I'm hoping I don't have to move on yet again, and I'm glad that I could give some people a bit of good input on their needs, but I can't waste any more time in getting my own project going either.

Granted, after my accident I'm in kind of a tough situation with what I don't have available to me at this point as far as resources, but I really thought I could get further than what I have (or haven't) gotten.

I'm hanging in a bit longer, but at this rate, I can't stay forever. I will need to move on.

Hey Kim: I'm sorry to her about your accident and that your experience at PartnerUp is not what you expected. Thanks very much fore the good advice you've given others. I think that's a great way to start connecting with people is by offering good advice< building trust, and then pitching your product or service. I hope you'll give it more time. /H - Hilary Cable 426 on 11/21/2011

My needs do not cater to the format of Partnerup.com, so it is unfair of me to make a comment. I see that many people have dropped off, and we are all newbies here.

So far I have been able to cultivate one partnership and it is a great one if you ask me. Currently looking for a numbers geek (CFO) and intend to post a designer partner position soon.

Suggestion
I think your site has a lot of potential.

I originally came here to find a partner.
What you need to do is work on your metrics.

Always answer the question are our users finding partners?

No one likes spam. You could probable clean that up w/ badges or something like that.

If someone is looking for a partner and after reading the plea you can not tell what type
of partner that person wants then .....
Good luck. :)

Good suggestions. Also, as I said in the past, if we could have some sort of thread where we can exchange informations on posters we found to be frauds.

And an FYI, I usually don't contact anyone who doesn't have a profile filled in. Now, it doesn't have to be 100% filled in, but I like to see most of it. Doesn't bother me if someone doesn't want to post a phone number, or is using a free email service, (I stopped posting my phone numbers places when people were calling me at 2am for information, without thinking of the time change), but don't give fake info or leave the profile empty.

Hi Kim: When you see someone you suspect of putting a fraudulent offer into a forum, please contact me: support@partnerup.com, or directly, hilary.cable@deluxe.com. I'll investigate right away. And I agree about the profiles. We encourage members to complete them, but not everyone does, and we can't force them to. I would strongly suggest you not ever post your personal contact info in a forum! You just don't know where it could lead. Play it safe and keep personal information to your self until you establish confidence in the person or business you are talking to. - Hilary Cable 426 on 3/5/2012

Its a lot of work having a good site. I mean leg work. My guess the site is from a template. Nothing wrong w/ that. I'll stay around until I start seeing how to make money in commodities or something like that.

Maybe if this site had some kind of vetting service that would help people take it more seriously and also provide a revenue stream for the devs to continue to make improvements. There are always ways to improve something no matter how good it may be and the first signs of decay is a stalled release cycle.

If the site also offered more integration with existing social networks it would help grow the site which, in turn would help everyone on it. The idea of this site is perfect for the kind of organization I am building, which follows an Open Enterprise model. So I am all for improvement and am willing to help where I can.

After further review and trying to find a partner I noticed the people I did find joined in 2009.
I'm Assuming the site has been around since then.

I thought this was a place to find a partner, now I'm not so sure. The searching needs to be improved. I know they're not
Google but then again there data set is a lot smaller. Then again most of the profiles are set to the default so they have nothing to search on. I doubt they use the other metrics the user do, probable not in the template there using.

I was thinking is my situation so unique that no one in the US is interested in partnering w/ a
iPhone web app Start Up. I know the equity share is not for everyone but I would have thought there would be at least another
person on the site.

I will not give up yet.

Hi Frank. PartnerUp has beeen around since 2007. It was purchased by Deluxe Corporation in 2009. Don't give up! In fact, if you would be willing to send me an email occasionally and let me know, that would be great! - Hilary Cable 426 on 3/6/2012
