Happy People Perform Better

" I force my brain to focus on something positive" - I have not tried doing this, I always feel terrible every time I am given a task that was not supposed to be part of my job, or should have been solved years back if they did the right thing. I will try your method and see if that really works. I am trying to put up a list for today.

Regards.

Hello, Sheely. I enjoyed your article on Happiness. I'm so happy right now. My peers made me happy by presenting me with the 2012 BPW/NTTF Entrepreneur of the Year Award, a month ago. I'm just now getting use to wearing the sound of it. I was surprised, grateful and humbled at the same time. It felt like a dream. You know it's not really about the business, it's about community service and women mentoring women. If you're asking what makes me happy? This award put the "icing on the cake" for me. It's so neat to be recognized for something that you didn't know anyone was paying attention or cared about you do. But, what I'm really excited about is that I received the award a couple of months after the Longaberger Company in Ohio announced that they won the Stevie Award in New York. They won the "Best Company in the National" for their catagory. They said the clients and consultants helped them win their award. I say the same thing about my award. My community collaborators and fundraisers helped a great deal also. So now you know why I'm so happy. Thank you for your time in reading this message. Take care. Happy Spring! I agree with what you wrote about happiness. I experienced that as a web designer. I can't come up into any creative designs when I'm unhappy. Emotions have strong influence in our work. So, if you are happy all things comes in your life are apparently well and you could perform better in your work.

Happy people are productive people. Happy thoughts can work as a motivator, worries can keep the mind from usefulness completely.
Thank you for sharing the post :)

Happy people are not just better at their jobs, they are generally healthier. They also tend to attract other happy people. I have only worked in a few situations where people truly enjoyed coming in to work every day. When I compare them with most of the places I worked, the differences are astounding.

One of the most interesting things to me is that money almost never ranks as the number one motivator for people. It is usually in the top 5 or so, but "enjoying the work", "feeling useful", "being able to make decisions", and "feeling I am respected" usually come in ahead of "making lots of money".

To be happy, don't rely on mobile devices or technology like the internet. Go out more often and see the world. Make meaningful impact on people's lives. Even an informal gathering after a worship service or meeting can make a difference. People nowadays are always in a hurry to go home and finish their work. Relax and have more quality time with your family, friends and loved ones...with your God. Don't be too engulfed with self-improvement or promotion, 'cause it's not always about you. Keeping good relationships is key to happiness.

Looking at the brighter side of things really helps. I don’t make a list every night like you do, but I try not to dwell too much on things that are not pleasant. I believe that God has a reason for everything. I do encounter a lot of undesirable things at work, but I have already accepted the fact that it is a part of the system and I just have to feel grateful for having a job.

Happy People DO indeed perform much better. Some people are just unhappy as a matter of fact, and it is very difficult to make them happy. Those are the folks that write nasty reviews on sites like Yelp, etc. Often unhappy people only see the negative side of things, and overlook the fact that when anything go wrong, there is a lesson to be learned. Thank God my parents reared us to be Happy and to Learn from our mistakes! Salutations! JESS Kalinowsky Professional Travel Consultant!
