Over the last three decades, Richard W. Bank, MD, attained considerable achievement as a biotechnology investment consultant, thanks to his experience as a physician. Since the mid-90s, he has worked with a number of entities. In 1995, Dr. Richard W. Bank founded First-Tier Biotechnology Partners, L.P., a hedge fund focused on the life sciences for which he served as the President, Portfolio Manager, and Managing Director until its assimilation by Lehman Brothers in 2004. Simultaneously, he functioned as the President and Secretary of BioVest Health Sciences, Inc., and spent two years as a Senior Equity Analyst and Director of Biotechnology at SBC Warburg Dillon Read (later part of UBS AG).
