Dispose of nuclear waste properly.

CleanIdaho.org believes that nuclear waste deserves a proper home - a safe, licensed, regulated, inspected home. The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licenses facilites around the country that meet the strictest requirements to store nuclear waste and byproducts. Westinghouse and U.S. Ecology are seeking a precedent-setting exemption from these crucial guidelines to dispose of an enormous amount of nuclear waste - some of it highly enriched - in an NRC unlicensed, unregulated site. There are proper sites for this waste in the U.S. - it doesn't belong in Idaho, neighboring the Snake River.
