Broadcast journalist Julie Staley has held a range of positions throughout the Midwest during her 25-year career. From 2001 to 2008, Julie Staley worked in Springfield, Illinois, as the 5 p.m. News Anchor for ABC affiliate WICS-TV. The longest-running 5 p.m. anchor at that time, she covered topics including local and state politics, medical news, and school reporting. During her last two years with WICS-TV, Julie Staley also anchored the 9 p.m. newscast for FOX affiliate WRSP-TV. Ms. Staley was the first anchor in Illinois history to execute two nightly newscasts on different stations.
