Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Atalaya always had a niche in the fashion world. As a kid, she would doodle jackets, skirts and dresses. According to her mom, she always had a keen sense of style. As the years went by, that element was overshadowed and eventually replaced by other adolescent activities.
