Dr. Michael Lavyne is a New York City neurosurgeon who specializes in spinal cord and nerve root problems. He gained his board certification in neurosurgery and has appeared for 15 straight years on Castle Connelly Medical Ltd.’s list of America’s Top Doctors. In 1980, Dr. Lavyne was among the first neurosurgeons in the nation to pioneer a groundbreaking, minimally invasive microsurgical technique to address problems with the spinal cord.
