I want my accountant to look at the books for the business I am interested in purchasing. The business is ten years old. It is a coffee shop that I have worked at for 5 years. How many years of books should I take into consideration?

I think that you should engage a CPA firm that does due dilligences and knows what to do. A regular accountant will do the work partially. email me at dhernandez@bizcpas.com and will explain.
