The non-profit has had a number of bad years due to poor management and board apathy. We have burned most of our available cash, lost clients, and lost donors, Most of the board has now quit, leaving the few to do the work of many. We need to raise $3M to retire our debit, increase our marketing to increase our revenues, and put proper controls in place to control costs.

David -- I might be able to help you in some capacity, perhaps even a board member, but first I need more information -- as much as you can give me. Cash position, nature of the product / service, typical customer complaint, any actual or threatened litigation, etc. If it is not too late, I can offer turnaround counseling, strategic management facilitation, mediation, and other services as outlined at my webste: http://sites.google.com/site/wilcoxbusinesscounseling.
As a SCORE counselor, any help I can give you via normal ScORE channels would be free -- and I am certainly willing to proceeed on this basis. On the other hand, if my involvement exceeded these limits, we would have to proceed outside of the SCORE comunity.
Please tell me as much as you can,
Howard, Indianapolis SCORE
