Hi Heidi,
The best way to find professionals is through referrals from people you trust. Who are they using for help and why? Also, ask your attorney for a reference or your banker. Many times attorneys and bankers who work with small businesses, will also have a relationship with an accountant they trust and have had good results with.
You can also contact your local association of accountants - ask for a referral for someone with demonstrated experience in your area of business.
