to continue from above,new product help a development co. has contacted me and think my idea is a very good one and a sellable one i will need capital however and am willing to discuss a % for an investor to help make my invention a reality i know this can be worth millions and touch a broad base of people and stores.

The next step is to really analyze the market and opportunity.

In your case, since it sounds like you're inventing a product, I would spend some time on the USPTO site exploring whether there are similar products invented/patented and/or speak with a patent/intellectual property attorney. The USPTO site is at http://www.uspto.gov
