Reality of a non-compete and the impact it could have on soliciting customers in the telecom industry from one company to another.


Sales on client (non-geographical) from one company to another. Agreement that was signed indicated a 12 month waiting period.

I would have an attorney review your non-compete. typically these are confidentiality and non-solicitation agreements that state you can not solicit companies that were clients of the company you signed the agreement with and are restrictive to a certain geographic radius of the company's location and territory. the only sure way to know the exact restrictions of your agreement is to seek legal advice. I have had to do the same.
