How do I identify and work with a low-cost manufacturer to make my product (jewelry) for me?

I have identified a niche market for a specific type of jewelry; now I need to find out about getting it manufactured (and shipped) at a cost that allows me a decent margin. Any assistance appreciated - thank you!
