Hello, Christa:

In taking a quick look at the Wisconsin Department of Revenue's website, it appears to me that you would not be required to collect and submit tax when providing personal chef service.

To be sure, give the Department of Revenue a call at (608) 266-2776 in Madison, and they should be able to give you an answer right away.

I didn't think so either and I emailed them, but they said it was a busy time of year and it would take longer than normal to get back to me. I will double check with them though. Thank you. - Christa Wilson 3 on 5/3/2011
