CurrentRF has developed a new design which enables economic extraction of normally wasted energy. This design, duplicated many times on an integrated circuit, can harvest energy from a variety of sources which include mechanical, chemical, thermal, and solar, at once, combine the charge from these sources, providing power for implanted electronic devices, thus replacing the need for batteries in these embedded electronic systems.
