Start-up Biz Dev - Marketing Consultant/Advisor

We are a start-up social marketing event agency. We would like to find a marketing or business development executive to help us launch.

We have developed a unique off-line event experience that includes an actual product: a kit filled with information to spark dialogue and action on any issue that challenges or divides us.

At this point (Nov '07), I, the founder, have begun taking meetings with marketing executives in the publishing and consumer product industries with the goal of piloting events.

The ieal person we are looking for should be willing to initially work with me to craft appropriate pitches and lend his/her contacts to facilitate getting meetings.

I would envision this being a business development consulting agreement tied to a percentage of any contract we would secure.

If the working relatinship works for all parties, once the company can afford to do so, this person could be the Chief Marketing Officer.

Position Requirements
The ideal business development consultant for us has experience in: consumer products, publishing, media and entertainment.

The candidate is also an innovative and strategic marketing professional who understands how connect the dots between PR, marketing - both on and offline. Separately, we are looking for someone with corporate social responsibility, corporate citizenship, corporate Foundation or community programming experience.

Someone who believes in our mission and is ethical.
