This is an idea I stopped working on when I was in High School. I am looking to see if someone wants to take the project and run with it.If you want to work together I'll get you up to speed and help out where I can. I would just like to see some of my ideas get done, I don't have time for them all.

Company Overview
This is a method that I believe was banned in the US, there may have been one or two companies that were operating non destructively. As far as I remeber it was stopped completely. From what I recall companies were getting around $10k per log. If it is still in effect that no one can dig for them, I'm sure they go for a lot more now.
The benefit of the wood, is that it has valuable acoustic resonance qualities. The rings in the trees back in the logging days were far more condensed than anything you can find today.
There is another way to locate these logs and remove them with minimal disturbance. This would need to be approved by the government. Given the method and having a solid plan I think this would be achievable.
