Directors and Commissioners serve as volunteer members of their respective Boards.
Director - serve on the Board of Directors - The Board of Directors is the primary force driving the NRCEV to the realization of its opportunities for service and to the NRCEV as a single entity, and to the volunteer emergency communications service community. As such they provide overall management and direction of the NRCEV.
Commissioners serve on the Certification Board - The Certification Board is responsible for management of the programs assigned to it by the Board of Directors, including final governance and decision-making authority regarding establishing program standards; the development, administration, and scoring of assessment instruments; selection of members and operational processes which support the purposes of the assigned programs.

Position Requirements
Directors - The primary backgrounds we are looking for in members of the Board of Directores are in business management areas. Not required, but at least some Directors should be licenced Amateur Radio operators.
Commissioners - The primary backgrounds we are looking for in members of the Certification Board are: volunteer emergency communications, emergency management and/or education. Not required, but most Commissioners should be licenced Amateur Radio operators.
