At this point I'm looking for any interested parties to meet for coffee/tea to discuss the endeavor. Is it genuinely a solid business vision that would be successful if implemented well? Can we be partners?
I lean toward the 37signals philosophy of doing business, which means we will only take outside money if we trust that outside investors will not pressure us to drop the vision...a hard thing to do! I'm for bootstrapping the business. In my mind, a successful business does not focus only on economics alone, but on a vision of doing good.
I am looking for people with technical skills, particularly web development experience or great contacts in the community. I'm fairly technical myself (done some application software development) and am familiar with Ruby on Rails. However, I'm not stuck on Rails, so if you can build something better with a mainstream web framework/language (PHP, Java, .NET), I'm for using the best tool for the job.

Position Requirements
Integrity and realism. I just want people who are honest about what they have done, what they want to do, and that they stand for treating people with fairness and respect. I do not like B.S. like pushing, pushing, and pushing more if a business has failed. We win some and lose some in life. If you just want to make millions and go live on a yacht, I doubt we'll make good partners. I don't want to die with Great Business Man written on my tombstone.

Company Overview
Although I have not read Robert Sutton's best selling book about toxic personalities at work (especially mean bosses), I know from personal experience that when you work with generally mean, rude, vindictive, and manipulative people it is very difficult to enjoy your life let alone your work. I've left multiple jobs primarily because I was worn out by politics, favoritism, and worst of all: meanness.
I envision a online job board where people can coming knowing that those posting jobs have demonstrated with references that they are decent human beings that give everyone a chance and discipline people when necessary with respect and mercy. Obviously, I have not worked out the details. I'm looking for like-minded people to join me.
