Working with a team of professionals who are at the top of their game, you will have the singular opportunity to leverage your knowledge of the marketplace to drive revenue growth through innovative enhancements coming from our product team. As the Vice President of Business Development for ProengineerPortal, your main mission will be to identify, structure, and implement Internet search advertising and content deals that contribute significantly to company goals and objectives. Success in the role will draw heavily from your experience developing the strategy, identifying and prioritizing targets, negotiating and closing deals and building long-term relationships with current and potential partners. In this high-profile role, you will be able to leverage your skills related to product development, investigating and advising on strategic partnerships, and providing support to internal clients. Key to your effectiveness here is your knowledge of the search and distribution market, so having a network of contacts is important, but knowing how to leverage it is critical. Position Responsibilities - Structure and successfully negotiate complex revenue-driving or revenue-sharing deals. - Be responsible for meeting both personal as well as department sales goals. - Manage multiple daily tasks and longer-term strategic projects. - Work independently with effectiveness and efficiency while also collaborating with internal teams. - Establishment, management and ultimate responsibility for the overall national US sales goals. - Engage in consultative selling with target prospects - Develop target markets such as local search, media and online marketing verticals. - Understand and articulate the complex business relationships of Internet and traditional media business, especially the hurdles and opportunities small businesses face in using the Internet for marketing and advertising. - Develop and manage a business development and sales lead qualification program. - Represent the company at relevant trade shows. - Hire and manage sales executives.
