I am launching a new Event Planning business. I have 5 years experience in managing all aspects of events, such as Charity Golf Tournaments, Team Building Events, Product Sales Events, and Training Seminars. I also have a Virtual Assistant business. I intend to have that business, and some affiliate programs, as part of my value add proposition - but I want to focus on Event Planning. I want to target non-profits, medium size corporations, and also do special events initially. However, I definitely want to expand my business. I have done most of leg work and have systems in place. |

I would like to find someone who is looking to learn this business - and is the compliment of me. This way gaps are filled for a better client experience. For instance, I'm not as good as I would like to be at developing themes. I envision that my partner will be coachable and trainable - but will also be someone who will hold me accountable. I will want to maintain a fair amount of control until I am able to build the relationship to a point of letting go of control. That is why I want a Jr. Partner vs. just a partner.
This person must be very hard working, focused, able to deal with my "all about business" personality when we are working an event - but my crazy and silly personality during more down times. Must have the entreprenur mindset that knows that we have to balance life. I love that now I can take a 2 hour lunch and go for a massage if I want to and have time to do so - but I also have some very late nights as well. I go with the needs of the business. How great to not have my butt in a chair just taking up space during 8 - 5 whether there is anything to do or not. :)
Should have your own home office, or be able to set one up right away. Should have some small amount of capital to help share expenses. Should be computer literate. Needs to be proficient in Word & Excel, as a minimum. Will absolutely have high morals, integrity, and professionalism. For instance - when we go to networking events, we go to network - not to drink and party. :
