| Company Information | We're a young (everyone under 28) web application development company/idea factory in Bethesda, MD.
We currently have a web application launched and at market: http://www.pagelime.com As well as an iPhone app: Search for "Clean Eats" in iTunes. We have 5 more products/projects + client work in various stages of development. We are a team of 3 with 1 frontend developer/marketer and 2 backend coders. Everyone on the team can also do a decent job with the others roles as well. As our needs have grown, and our turnaround times have increased it has become clear that we need to bring in a solid designer. |
| Position Information | The qualities we are looking for in a designer are as follows:
You are Self-Motivated You are Skilled in UI/UX design You are Versatile (this is a dealbreaker) You use the correct Adobe products for the appropriate situations. You have an understanding of the limitations of web design, and utilization of best practices where applicable. You have a portfolio we can see. (preferably on the internet) You are Fast. This does not mean fast to the point of sloppy. You grasp of the bleeding edge of technology (cloud computing, augmented reality, etc) You have decent sense of humor (I promise you we are way more fun than this listing suggests) The qualities we are NOT looking for in a designer are as follows: You never designed anything before. You like the design of Bing. You have to be in bed by 10pm You type "First" in blog comments. We don't care about education level or degrees. We do care about portfolio, work history, and a general grasping of concepts. If you're a college student, and you rock, we're willing to work out an internship opportunity as well as equity if it all goes well. |
