| Position Information |
We are looking for a talented Executive Vice President Business Development whose primary responsibility is to optimize DOBI’s product collaborations and partnerships through policy formulation and initiatives, and by executing, managing and tracking all supporting contractual agreements. Primary Duties and responsibilities: Serve as key member of the Executive Team accountable for DOBI’s strategic and operational business development objectives. Build, manage and lead the Business Development Team. Lead business development negotiations with commercial partners. Lead business development negotiations with government and academic research institutions. Optimize and implement intellectual property, technology and material transfer policies. Work to identify supportive partnerships, opportunities and needs. Manage the development and implementation of global product access policies and objectives. Execute assessment of markets for new drugs and drug candidates from DOBI’s pipeline. Do due diligence assessments of potential partners, including their financial/reputational risk and organizational capacity. Build relationships with other PPPs seeking organisational cross cutting synergies and keeping abreast of best practice in the field. Qualifications and Experience: MA or PhD plus a minimum of ten years’ experience negotiating and implementing pharmaceutical/biotech partnerships or equivalent combination of education and experience. Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical business from product discovery through development, manufacturing and supply chain management. A clear track record of successfully closing negotiations. A strong network within the pharmaceutical industry. Experience of managing people within an industrial or PDP context. Specific skills required: Strong team leadership skills; ability to work with senior leaders across functions to define issues, build consensus and implement solutions. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing. The ability to credibly represent DOBI’s strategy at external meetings. Excellent organization skills and time management. Flexibility and ability to operate under pressure in a rapidly changing environment. Willing to work for little compensation at the beginning to receive tremendous rewards later. |
