Company Information	AREF Directors serve without pay for terms of three years. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of every quarter at the Center for Cancer Care and Research office in St. Louis, regular attendance is expected in person or by telephone conference call. Directors need to support the foundation by helping with the development of the organization. They also need to assist in the planning of events (fundraisers) and work to secure financial support through the St. Louis area.
Position Information	Each Director must be able to support the AREF by participating in the planning and creation of fundraising events, generation of new financial sponsors and management of best practices as established by the AREF. Each Director must have demonstrated a personal interest and concern for our mission of cancer education, prevention and awareness. Each Director must have demonstrated an ability to devote the time necessary to fulfill Board responsibilities and regularly attend meetings.

AREF is dedicated to enhancing cancer care by providing education and awareness to the general public, those affected by cancer and health care professionals. There is a staff of 1 (Development Director) therefore the need for a active and working Board of Directors is great.
