| Company Information | I'm seeking a partner who not only wants to own half of the business, but also wants to take on half of the work load- Working in the shop when it's open, both with me and alone, and also taking on the other responsibilities with me.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Book keeping, Budgeting, Inventory, advertising, Purchasing new and used merchandise, Cleaning and sanitizing used merchandise, operating shop- waiting on customers, keeping shop clean, and best of all, being your own boss! You must enjoy working with people of all ages: babies, toddlers, children, teenager's, adults, and the elderly (Grandparent's). You don't have to be very familiar with the merchandise (baby equipment, kids clothes, books, movies, toys, etc.), but I'd recommend considering if it is something you'd be interested in. I know that it wouldn't matter how hard I'd try, a hardware store would never be the place for me. |
| Position Information | I want a partner who will see this shop as more than just an investment. You must have a passion and desire to make it work/grow. It's more than just a job. It's your business. This is my dream, and I want to sell 1/2 of it to somebody who sees it as their's too.
Customer service skills are a must. You often have to explain and show customer's how things work (mainly baby equipment). |

| Description | This children's shop has been in business for 9 months.I've made some mistakes because of this, and need a partner QUICKLY.These mistakes can be repaired, but it will require money, which is one of the reasons that a partner is needed quickly.
It's only $2,000 to buy into 1/2 of the business.Part of the $2,000 will be used as bail out money, to save the shop. Statistics show that the average new business will normally lose money the first six months to one year. This one broke even for six out of nine months! I just couldn't operate the shop and do all of the other duties (advertising- fliers, paper work, etc.) on my own. If it's already broke even with just me operating it, imagine how it will soar with twice the manpower!!! |
