CTO/Lead Developer

A Co-founder or Partner Opportunity in or near Hampton, NH

Position Type Contract
Company Information My CTO and co-founder is departing due to academic obligations. We had some early seed money from friends and family, but whoever I bring aboard will be compensated with equity. The new partner has to have the skills to finish the project. FanTaggers backbone is written in PHP, using the MVC framework for rapid development and maintainability. With such a large code base -32000 lines of code- using a framework and more specifically MVC is crucial in order to maintain and add new code. The original design of the system was outsourced. The core code is our own framework. We do not us Drupal, Joomla or any other CMS, the framework is 100 percent custom. On top of this framework is once again our own custom code with other open source components. This includes, but is not limited to, HTML Purifier..to purify user generated content.. and Amazon S3 PHP API to receive and send data from the Amazon s3 servers.
Position Information I need someone with the skills necessary to complete the project. Once this is done, whoever I bring aboard will have to maintain it - I hope to do well user-wise then acquire some funding in order to add some pretty cool features to the site and monetize it further. Obviously, with funding, comes salaries - which is always important when bringing aboard employees in a startup.
