Company Information	THIS IS A VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY. We need Board Members that are familiar with the workings of non-profit organizations. Currently, we have board members that joined us as friends believing in our vision. We are now better known in the area, have larger goals, and need a board that can meet the challenges of growth. As sometimes happens, we have only 2 hardworking board members that understand what has to be done and tries to wear multiple hats. The other 3 board members are employed and do not fully understand the need for constant fund raising, setting goals and implementing ideas. We are expanding our Gardening projects this year to include farm stands, deliveries, classes in the Garden, cooking classes, implementing new ideas/projects and special events. We do not have the board we need to see us smoothly through this exciting year. However, we do have a large band of volunteers that we recruited online that are helping us prepare, plant and run our gardens.
Position Information	We need Volunteer Board Members that are committed to making a difference We are also seeking people that are interested in the green movement, like plants and nutrition and working with children and adults. We would be very happy is potential Board Members were skilled in one or more of the following areas: FUNDRAISING, BOOKKEEPING, GRANT WRITING, ORGANIZATION, MANAGEMENT, IT. Thank you. Description	Hands To Help Inc. is a 501(c)(3) company organized in 2007. We are a volunteer organization concerned with providing relief and education to the poor, usually through starting sustainable gardens in unused lots around town, allowing the poor (and others) to have access to nutritious, locally grown produce. We also have classes, mostly for children, where we teach them cooking, gardening and beginning botany. We want to be able to also provide some part time opportunities for people in this inner city area. WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF COMMITTED, CREATIVE, VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS TO HELP US ACHIEVE OUR GOALS.
