In your role as an Estimator you’ll perform and manage the entire estimating process from a wide range of construction projects, including commercial, private, public, healthcare, government and low-income housing. Responsibilities include job walks, review subcontractor bids, maintain and update network database. Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work. Job Purpose: Prepare accurate cost estimates by analyzing RFP, or reviewing RFP, by reviewing and analyzing drawings, Specifications and RFI’s. Prepare acceptable RFQ and proposals for Military, Medical and other public works projects including CM, Hard Bid and Negotiated Projects Duties: * Search and identify potential projects to bid on that meet the current criteria. * Obtain all required documents needed to prepare an accurate estimate. * Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. * Solicit and obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors. *Review proposals from vendors and subcontractors to insure they meet all specified requirements of the project. Confirm we are accepting bids from qualified subcontractors and vendors and negotiate best pricing at bid time. * Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. * Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information. * Manage and lead the bid room team and process on bid day * Maintains quality service by following organization standards. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
